While I was out running today, I noticed something small on the ground — a little round battery. I’d actually seen it last week too, but left it where it was. Today, it caught my eye again, looking a little more worn from the weather. This time, I picked it up.
It made me think about myself as a battery. Right now, I’m in a season of charging. I’ve been through a lot, and some days I may feel worn down like that battery on the ground. But just like it still holds potential energy, so do I.
I’m charging myself with rest, with reflection, with movement, with creating. Every ritual, every post, every step forward adds a little more power back into me. And when my charge is full, I trust that things will fall into place.
Today, I’m reminding myself that this moment — this charging phase — is just as important as the moments when everything is humming with energy.
